Method
Prepare the Fries
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or skillet until it shimmers. Add fries and fry for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Caramelize the Onions
- Melt butter in another skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and stir occasionally for about 20 minutes until they soften and turn golden brown.
Cook the Steaks
- Season steaks with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet until shimmering. Sear steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side to form a crust.
Warm the Beans
- Combine black beans and minced garlic in a small saucepan. Season with salt and pepper, then warm over medium heat for around 5 minutes.
Fry the Eggs
- In a skillet, heat butter until bubbling. Crack eggs into the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until the whites are set.
Assemble the Dish
- On a plate, place a juicy steak next to a mound of rice, a scoop of black beans, and serve with fries. Top with a fried egg, tomato slices, and parsley.
