Cheese Blend
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (shredded) Provides a bold, tangy flavor.
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded) Mild and stretchy, good for melting.
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (grated) Adds a salty, umami flavor.
Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For aromatic depth.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Adds savory notes.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper Freshly ground is best for flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt Enhances all other flavors.
Optional Add-Ins
  • 1/2 cup cooked and chopped bacon For a smoky, savory touch.
  • 2-3 tablespoons diced jalapeños Add for heat, if desired.

Method
 

Preparation Phase
  1. Let the cream cheese warm up to room temperature for a smooth texture.
  2. Shred the cheeses and chop any herbs or garlic.
Mixing Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add the sour cream and mayonnaise, mixing until well combined.
  3. Stir in the shredded cheeses, saving some for the top.
  4. Add the seasonings and any optional add-ins, mixing gently.
Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Transfer the mixture to a 9-inch pie plate or casserole dish.
  3. Sprinkle reserved cheese on top and bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly.
  4. Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

This dip can be made ahead of time and refrigerated. It can also be frozen before baking for up to a month.
