Ingredients
  

For the Fries
  • 26 oz French fries, frozen Cook according to package instructions.
For the Cheese Sauce
  • 2 tbsp All purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne powder Adjust for desired spice level.
  • 2 tsp Ranch seasoning powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp White pepper ground
  • 2 tbsp Butter For making the roux.
  • 2 cups Milk Warm slightly for smoother sauce.
  • 8 oz White cheddar cheese Grate fresh for best results.

Preparation
  1. Prepare the frozen French fries according to package instructions.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Stir in the flour, cayenne powder, ranch seasoning, salt, and white pepper, cooking for 1-2 minutes until golden.
  3. Gradually whisk in the milk, continuing to stir until the mixture thickens.
  4. Add the white cheddar cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
Serving
  1. Once the fries are done, place them on a serving platter.
  2. Pour the cheese sauce over the fries and serve hot.

Notes

Serve the fries hot right after you pour the sauce. Offer extra ranch or hot sauce on the side for guests who want more flavor. Store leftovers in separate airtight containers for up to 2 days.
