  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp butter For brushing after baking.
For the Rice and Broccoli
  • 2 cups cooked white rice Consider using pre-cooked rice to save time.
  • 3 cups broccoli florets Steamed or sautéed until tender-crisp.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For sautéing the broccoli.
  • 1 tbsp butter For mixing with rice.

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Ensure the chicken is well coated and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Baking the Chicken
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the marinated drumsticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, turning halfway, until golden brown and cooked through.
Preparing the Broccoli
  1. While the chicken bakes, steam or sauté the broccoli until bright green and tender-crisp. Season with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Finishing Touches
  1. Once the drumsticks are out of the oven, melt butter and stir in fresh parsley. Brush this mixture over the chicken.
Serving
  1. Serve the chicken drumsticks alongside the cooked rice and broccoli. Drizzle any remaining glaze over the chicken.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. Consider using smoked paprika for a deeper flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to four days, or freeze for three months.
