Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 tube tube of crescent rolls (refrigerated) Pick a tube that is fresh and cold for easier handling.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk) Use good quality chocolate chips for a balanced flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar Combine fine sugar with fresh ground cinnamon for best flavor.
  • 1 large egg (optional, for egg wash) Beaten with a splash of water for even coating.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent rolls and separate them into triangles.
  3. Place a few chocolate chips at the wide end of each triangle.
  4. Roll the dough starting from the wide end, rolling toward the point, then place them on a baking sheet.
  5. If desired, brush the tops with an egg wash for a golden color.
  6. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the top of each crescent.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Let cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

Store cooled crescents in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Freeze unbaked crescents on a tray for up to 1 month; bake from frozen. For reheating, use a 325°F (160°C) oven until warm and crisp.
