Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Filling
  • 2 cups Chicken, cooked and shredded Use fresh cooked chicken, such as rotisserie.
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Parsley, dried
  • 1.5 tsp Powdered garlic
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 pkg Crescent roll dough Use fresh for best results.
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs Choose plain or lightly salted.
  • 6 tbsp Butter Melted for brushing.
For the Creamy Parmesan Sauce
  • 8 oz Cream cheese Use full-fat for best richness.
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated Freshly grated is recommended.
  • 1 cup Whole milk For the creamiest sauce.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, onion powder, dried parsley, powdered garlic, egg, flour, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Roll out the crescent roll dough and cut into squares. Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of each square. Fold the corners over the filling and seal.
  4. Place the chicken pillows on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with panko breadcrumbs.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, melt the cream cheese and stir in heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, and whole milk until smooth.
Serving
  1. Serve the warm chicken pillows drizzled with the creamy Parmesan sauce.

Notes

These pillows can be made ahead and stored separately. Reheat in the oven for best results to avoid sogginess when storing the sauce separately.
