- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned.
- Stir in taco seasoning, diced tomatoes, and green chiles, and let it simmer for a few minutes.
Assembly
- Mix the cornbread mix, milk, and eggs in a bowl until smooth and lump-free.
- Spread half of the cornbread mixture in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Layer the beef mixture on top, then spread the remaining cornbread mixture over it.
Baking
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- For a crispy top, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
