Preparation
- Cook the beef bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced Granny Smith apple and sauté briefly in the bacon drippings until slightly softened.
- In a bowl, mix the hot honey, apple cider vinegar, sea salt, and red pepper flakes.
- Butter one side of each slice of artisan bread.
Assembly and Grilling
- On the unbuttered side of the bread, layer cheddar cheese, cooked bacon, sautéed apples, and a drizzle of the honey mixture, then top with another slice of bread.
- Cook each sandwich in the skillet, buttered side down, until golden brown and the cheese is melted. Flip and repeat on the other side.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
Serve warm with a small salad or pickles. Store leftovers properly in the fridge for up to 2 days.
