Ingredients

- 4 chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup rice
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Marinate the chicken thighs in this mixture for at least 30 minutes.
- In a large pot, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned on both sides.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cover and let it cook for 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook the rice according to package instructions.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the broth and slice it.
- Serve the chicken over rice, ladled with broth, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
For more flavor, marinate chicken thighs longer, use fresh ginger and garlic, and add vegetables for extra nutrition. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days.
