Sweet and Savory Roasted Orange Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken thighs, bone-in skin-on
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 2 Navel oranges, large
  • 1 tbsp Thyme, fresh
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Orange juice, fresh

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, honey, soy sauce, garlic, orange juice, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Slice the navel oranges and arrange them on top of the chicken.
  5. Roast in the oven for about 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is crispy.
  6. Serve with the roasted oranges and spoon the pan juices over the top.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh orange juice and consider marinating the chicken overnight.
