Strawberry Cake Truffles

Delightful bite-sized desserts combining rich strawberry cake with sweet white chocolate, perfect for celebrations or casual snacking.

Ingredients

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 45 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • Pink food coloring (optional)
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake according to package instructions until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool completely.
  4. Once cooled, crumble the cake into a large bowl.
  5. Add powdered sugar and cream cheese to the cake crumbles; mix until a dough forms.
  6. Roll the mixture into small balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  8. Meanwhile, melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler.
  9. If using, mix in pink food coloring into the melted chocolate.
  10. Dip each chilled cake ball into the melted chocolate to coat and return to the baking sheet.
  11. If desired, sprinkle with sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
  12. Allow the chocolate to harden before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
