Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package prosciutto
- 1 package mozzarella balls (about 12 oz)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Open the package of prosciutto and gently separate the slices, laying them flat on a clean surface.
- Take the mozzarella balls out of their packaging and drain any excess liquid. If the mozzarella balls are large, you can cut them in half for easier wrapping.
- Place one mozzarella ball in the center of each prosciutto slice.
- Carefully wrap the prosciutto around the mozzarella ball, ensuring it is fully enclosed. Continue wrapping all mozzarella balls in prosciutto slices.
- Heat the olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat.
- Add the dried oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper to the oil. Stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant, then remove from heat.
- Lightly brush the seasoned olive oil mixture over each prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella bite.
- Arrange the wrapped mozzarella bites on the prepared baking sheet, spaced slightly apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the prosciutto is crispy and slightly golden.
- Remove from oven, allow to cool slightly, and if desired, sprinkle with chopped fresh basil before serving.
Notes
Serve these warm with dipping sauces like marinara or balsamic glaze. Use fresh mozzarella for the best flavor.
