- 4 Chicken breasts, boneless skinless
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 2 Eggs, large
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 cup Mustard-cheddar sauce
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups Pretzels
- 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup Milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs, Dijon mustard, and milk.
- Place the all-purpose flour in a third bowl.
- Crush the pretzels in a zip-lock bag until fine crumbs form; place in a fourth bowl.
- Dip each chicken breast into the flour, then into the egg mixture, and finally into the pretzel crumbs to coat.
- Place the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- In a saucepan, heat the mustard-cheddar sauce until warm, then stir in cheddar cheese until melted.
- Serve the chicken hot with the mustard-cheddar sauce drizzled over.
Notes
For a crunchier texture, double-dip the chicken in the egg and pretzel crumbs. Use different cheeses for variations.
