Oven-Baked Cabbage Burgers

Hearty and healthy cabbage leaves filled with seasoned meat for a delicious oven-baked meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium cabbage
  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Olive oil for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Remove the core from the cabbage and carefully peel off the leaves.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture on each cabbage leaf and roll them up.
  5. Place the cabbage rolls seam-side down in a baking dish.
  6. Drizzle with olive oil.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes until golden.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

Let the rolls cool to room temperature before storing. Use airtight containers for best preservation.
