- 8 slices of bread (preferably challah or brioche)
- 2 cups diced country ham
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups whole milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 2-quart baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Layer the bread and diced ham in the baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread and ham layers.
- Top with shredded Cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown and the eggs are set.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
Assemble the casserole ahead of time and refrigerate overnight for richer flavors. Great for feeding large groups.
