- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 1 can (4 oz) roasted green chiles
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your preference)
- 4–6 tortillas, torn into pieces
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- If using fresh chicken, bake boneless, skinless chicken breasts for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through. Let cool, then shred.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cooked chicken, green chiles, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and shredded cheese; mix well.
- In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer the chicken mixture and tortillas, repeating until all ingredients are used, finishing with cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until top is golden brown and bubbly.
Notes
Toast tortillas before use to prevent sogginess. Customize with beans or corn for variations.
