- 2 cups yellow onions, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth

- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 cup Gruyere cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the crescent roll dough package instructions.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and thyme, cooking until the onions are caramelized (about 15-20 minutes).
- Stir in the beef broth and white vinegar, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
- Roll out the crescent roll dough and cut it into squares.
- Place a spoonful of the onion mixture onto each dough square, then top with Gruyere cheese.

- Place the bites on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, typically about 12-15 minutes.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, caramelize the onions longer and feel free to experiment with different cheeses. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 2-3 days.
