- 14 oz Deli roast beef
- 1 medium Onion, sliced
- 1 fresh Parsley, chopped
- 2 tsp fresh Thyme
- 1 1/2 tbsp dried Onion soup mix
- 1 packet Au jus gravy mix
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
- 1/4 tsp Kosher salt
- 12 Sweet rolls
- 11 tbsp unsalted Butter
- 10 slices Provolone cheese
- 3 cups Water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in the fresh parsley, thyme, black pepper, and salt. Add the deli roast beef and allow it to heat through.
- In a separate bowl, mix the onion soup mix with water and the au jus gravy mix.
- Place the sweet rolls into a baking dish. Cut them horizontally and layer with the roast beef mixture and provolone cheese.
- Top with the other half of the sweet rolls and brush with melted butter.
- Pour the prepared au jus gravy mixture over the sliders.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden brown.
- Serve warm with the remaining au jus on the side for dipping.
Notes
Use good quality roast beef for the best flavor. You can make it healthier by substituting turkey or chicken.
