Easy Crispy Cabbage Burger Bake

A delightful dish combining ground meat, cheese, and cabbage for a filling and nutritious comfort food.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef or turkey
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Head cabbage, sliced thick
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 Egg, large
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Paprika, Smoked
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 cup Cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened.
  4. In a bowl, combine the ground beef or turkey, egg, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, paprika, and salt. Mix well.
  5. In a baking dish, layer the sliced cabbage, followed by the meat mixture.
  6. Top with cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Use fresh cabbage for the best flavor.
