Crispy Baked Italian Parmesan Chicken

A quick and tasty recipe for baked chicken breasts that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, using Italian spices and Parmesan cheese.

  • 4 Chicken breasts, boneless skinless
  • 1 tsp Basil, dried
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Oregano, dried
  • 2 Eggs, large
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 Olive oil spray
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the dried basil, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, black pepper, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and milk together.
  4. Spray a baking sheet with olive oil spray.
  5. Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  6. Place the coated chicken on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top of each chicken breast.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the outside is crispy and golden brown.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil for 1-2 minutes at the end, watching closely. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
