Cranberry, Brie, and Walnut Crostini

Deliciously easy appetizer featuring toasted baguette topped with brie, cranberry sauce, and walnuts.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced into half inch rounds
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 ounces brie cheese, sliced
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped and lightly toasted
  • Fresh thyme sprigs (optional)
  • Drizzle of honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush each slice lightly with olive oil.
  3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crisp.
  4. Place a slice of brie on each toasted baguette round and return to the oven for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the brie is just melted.
  5. Remove from the oven and top each crostini with a small spoonful of cranberry sauce and a sprinkle of toasted walnuts.
  6. Garnish with fresh thyme sprigs and drizzle with honey for added sweetness if desired.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

Best served warm as finger food. Store components separately to maintain crispness.
