- 1 large round loaf of Italian bread
- 1/2 cup olive salad (a mix of olives, pickled vegetables, and spices)
- 1/2 pound mortadella, sliced
- 1/2 pound salami, sliced
- 1/2 pound ham, sliced
- 1/2 pound provolone cheese, sliced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions
- Cut the Italian bread in half horizontally and hollow out some of the inside.
- Spread the olive salad on the bottom half of the bread.
- Layer the mortadella, salami, ham, and provolone cheese on top of the olive salad.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with minced garlic.
- Place the top half of the bread on the sandwich, press down gently, and wrap tightly in plastic wrap.
- Let the sandwich rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before slicing it into wedges.
Notes
Use good-quality Italian bread for the best flavor and texture. Feel free to add extra vegetables or swap out the meats and cheese to suit your taste.
