- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp Baking powder
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Cinnamon, ground
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 2 cups Powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3 tsp Vanilla
- 1 cup Butter, unsalted
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 8 oz Cream cheese
- 2 tbsp Milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, granulated sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine melted butter, buttermilk, and vanilla. Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese with powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan, then swirl in the cream cheese mixture. Pour the remaining batter on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars and serving.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar and milk for extra sweetness.
