- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 12 oz semisweet chocolate
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 3 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan.
- Melt the semisweet chocolate and unsalted butter together in a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs with granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla extract.
- Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt; fold into the chocolate mixture until just combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Let the brownies cool completely; then spread a layer of whipped cream on top, and refrigerate.
- Serve chilled and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or fresh berries.
