Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
- Mix in chocolate chips.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese with sugar and the egg until smooth to make the cheesecake filling.
- Take a tablespoon of cookie dough, flatten it, and place a small amount of cheesecake filling in the center; fold the dough around it to form a ball.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Freeze the filled cookies for about 15 minutes to prevent the filling from running during baking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Pairs well with milk or coffee. Can sprinkle powdered sugar on top for extra sweetness.
