Chicken Pillows with Creamy Parmesan Sauce for Cozy Nights

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Chicken, cooked and shredded
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Dried parsley
  • 1 1/2 tsp Powdered garlic
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 pkg Crescent roll dough
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 6 tbsp Butter
  • 8 oz Cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup Whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, onion powder, dried parsley, powdered garlic, egg, flour, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Roll out the crescent roll dough and cut into squares. Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of each square. Fold the corners over the filling and seal.
  4. Place the chicken pillows on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. In a saucepan, melt the cream cheese and stir in heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, and whole milk until smooth.
  7. Serve the warm chicken pillows drizzled with the creamy Parmesan sauce.

Notes

Use fresh, cooked chicken for best results. This dish is make-ahead friendly and can be frozen either raw or baked.
