- 1 1/2 lbs Ground beef, Lean
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 4 oz Green chiles
- 1 Red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 Yellow onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup Salsa, mild
- 2 1/2 cups Biscuit mix
- 1 oz Taco seasoning mix
- Cooking spray
- 1 1/2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Sour cream
- 1 cup Water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
- Add garlic powder, green chiles, red bell pepper, and yellow onion to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in mayonnaise, salsa, taco seasoning mix, and water.
- In a separate bowl, mix the biscuit mix with the beef mixture until combined.
- Spray a baking dish with cooking spray and pour the mixture into it.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese and dollops of sour cream.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Serve warm.
Notes
For a crispier top, add extra shredded cheese in the last 5 minutes of baking. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for 2 months.
