Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb ground beef (or sirloin)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Sear until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Lower heat to medium. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Gradually whisk in mozzarella, cheddar, and parmesan. Stir until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
- Toss the cooked spaghetti into the sauce. Add reserved pasta water if needed to loosen it up.
- Fold the seared beef into the pasta and sauce mixture. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes.
- Plate and garnish with fresh parsley and additional parmesan if desired.
Notes
Taste and adjust Cajun seasoning for spice preference. Reserve pasta water for sauce consistency.
