Bourbon BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp bourbon
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cooked bacon, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, green onions, BBQ sauce, bourbon, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Form the mixture into small meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
  5. Serve warm with extra BBQ sauce for dipping.

Notes

Use cooked, cooled bacon for better binding. Do not overmix the meat. Can be served as appetizers, sliders, or over rice.
