- 5 large Eggs
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 1/4 cups Brown sugar, packed
- 2 cups Confectioners sugar
- 2 tbsp Red food coloring
- 3 1/2 cups Ghirardelli milk chocolate chips
- 3 tbsp Ghirardelli unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 1/8 tsp Salt
- 2 1/4 tsp Vanilla
- 2 1/4 sticks Unsalted butter
- 5 tbsp Unsalted butter
- 4 oz Cream cheese
- 1 tbsp Heavy cream or milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Add vanilla and red food coloring to the mixture, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- While the brownies are baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting by beating the cream cheese and confectioners sugar together, adding heavy cream until smooth.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before spreading the cream cheese frosting on top.
- Cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
Serve with vanilla ice cream or drizzle with chocolate syrup for an extra treat.
