Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup mashed potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped onions and garlic until softened.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, cooked onions, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into patties.
- Place the patties in a baking dish and pour beef broth over them.
- Spread mashed potatoes over the patties.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until meat is cooked through and mashed potatoes are golden.
- Optionally, sprinkle shredded cheese on top and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to melt. Serve warm.
Notes
Serve with green beans or a fresh salad. Drizzle with extra Worcestershire sauce for added flavor.
